AI & Data-Use Notice
At AYVA, AI is a librarian and assistant, never a ruler (Constitution, Part VIII). This notice explains where AI is used, what it does, and what it must never do.
1. Where AI is used
Three places: the Challenge Protocol (nine questions that stress-test each idea), Connections (related ideas and tensions), and AI-assisted moderation screening at submission.
2. Which model, and what is sent
Anthropic’s Claude, via API. Only public idea and argument text is sent for analysis; results are stored and shown on the idea. Your email and IP address are not sent to the AI.
3. What AI does NOT do
AI does not decide truth, rank human worth, govern AYVA, or amend the Constitution. It does not make final moderation or ban decisions. Humans remain responsible.
4. Accuracy & limits
AI output can be wrong or incomplete. Treat it as a prompt for your own thinking, not as authority. You can challenge, extend or reject any AI-surfaced point.
5. Training & provider terms
We use the AI provider under its API terms. [We will confirm and state here whether submitted content may be used to improve third-party models, and honour any opt-outs.]
6. Human oversight & appeals
Moderation actions can be appealed to a human (see Moderation & Appeals).
